They can take any money they can find, and unless you are in Texas, they can garnish your wages, if you are working. They can't take social security, worker's comp, or money from a qualified retirement plan. If you think you were not served, you should get copies of the paperwork from the court and see what it says about service. If you were not properly served you can have the judgment vacated. Usually need legal help with that.
