NO, it isn't worth it. Dont do it. Go talk to a lawyer, and get this thing handled. I have been in your situation, and it will cost you no matter what you do. There is probably some way to sue them *first*, and then you can get your legal expenses back. If you don't want to be bothered with a lawsuit (sounds to me like you could do it with enthusiasm), then just pay them and live with it. I did what you are contemplating, it ended up that it was going to court. My mother became ill two days before the court date, so I went down and paid the guy's lawyer - before the court date - so I could go be with my Mother. The lawyer let it go to court anyway, and got a judgment by default, even though I had paid them, and I never even knew it!! I found out two years later, after I was turned down for credit, and then had to pay a lawyer to get the judgment vacated!!! I should have just sued them first. The lawyer will be worth the money, believe me. I don't work for a lawyer, BTW . Linda
