I got the card 8/00, became delinquent 12/00, and did not pay at all after 12/00. It went to collections 8/01. I found one of your letters on yahoo, one where I offer a settlement in exchange for changing the entry on my credit report to "paid , no lates" and this feels like safest, smartest bet, because i have a few thousand I can offer as a settlement. Also, what would be a fair settlement on $8500 dollars? I was going to offer $3500 .
