Yup, they sure do. Don't worry about the statute of limitations if you know did not sign the contract. Send them a letter demanding that they send you a copy of the contract, with your signature on it. When you send this letter, DO NOT SIGN IT - THEY MIGHT FORGE YOUR SIGNATURE.

I have the kinds of letters you need at http://briefcase.yahoo.com/serenitybreeze
click on the "credit letters" folder and you will see the files. Right click and "save to disk". You want a "validation" letter. Then send it certified, return receipt, keep your little green card and a copy of the letter so you have proof you sent it. Wait 30 days for them to respond. If they do respond, it will not be anything with your signature (since you know you didn't sign it) - so they will not have proved anything. If they try to contact you by phone, just hang up. Or you could sing to them, yell at them in some foreign language, put a toddler on the phone - whatever strikes your fancy.

Let me know what happens after that, and I will tell you what to do next. You don't have anything to worry about - If by some slim chance they did try to take you to court, all you have to do is go to court on the right day and time, and tell the judge you never signed the contract for the car financing. The judge would know what they are doing, and they would never win without producing a copy of the contract with your signature.
