I doubt that will work. If they take you to court they can garnish your pay (unless you live in Texas) and get the maximum allowed by law - condsiderably more than $25.00. Have you looked at the fees and interest being added to the account?

I would see a lawyer, fing out if you qualify for bk, then contact the CC company and ask if they can do anything to help you. If something has happened, many of them have hardship programs. If it was just bad judgment - I doubt they will help. In that case, you can get the paperwork ready to file in case they do take you to court.

Personally, I think the $25 is a waste of money.
