Consumer credit counseling will trash your credit and you will have paid all that money, plus the fees the counseling agency charges, only to have credit reports that are worse than bankruptcy, and it will take you longer to rebuild. After within two yrs after bk, you can get prime credit cards and mortgages. I know people who took bk 3 years ago whose credit scores are higher than mine.

Stay away from CCCS!!! They do not give a hoot about you and your credit.
