In most states it is perfectly legal to tape a converstaion if you are party to that conversation. In Maryland it is illegal (just ask Linda Tripp). Check your state's laws, and then, if it's okay, tape them. You can buy a little suction cup thingy that you stick on the phone receiver, the other end plugs into a tape recorder, and get your proof.
