Thanks so much for your fast replies. I was all prepared to start the bankruptcy but the lawyer said I could face losing my home because of a technical glitch that can be found by the bankruptcy trustees and said not to do it until this can get straightened out which can take 1 - 1/2 years and by then, I can just see the lawsuits flying, not just the wicked collection people. I do have the answering machine and have added caller I.D. but with almost 10 cards, you can only imagine how often they call. I was just going to try to pay them a little something each month but as you said Linda, they just themselves in the foot and don't care to work with us. It is amazing. Because of this glitch, it is getting very scary because there is the possibility they can garnish wages plus attach my home. I'm trying to find out if at this point, is it legal for them to file a lawsuit even if you attempt to give them some money, even if it's not what 'they require.' Thanks again.
