If you call the merchant as well as telecheck and tell them what happened they will tell you where to fax the bank statement to prove it was paid. A merchant can not process a the same check twice - and you do have the proof that the check cleared. We use this system and have had a similar problem thinking the check was not run and did it a second time, it was an easy fix.
Call the merchant first - they are the ones to tell telecheck to remove your name from there database, then call telecheck, ask for management if you have to.
