Unfortunately, the last payment on the card was made sometime around August 1998 so that would make the default day September of 1998? So it's only been about 3 1/2 years. Someone on another board posted that they called the Ohio AG and was told that the SOL on credit cards is 15 years and they are considered written contracts.

I'm hoping that even with the 15 years, if this is a bottom feeder that purchased the debt, he can't validate it and there for can't do anything about it. Once it's sold and they can't collect, they just keep selling it, right? If this one can't validate it, then most likely, the ones after won't be able to either?
This agency is about 15 or 20 minutes away from me and the Attorney agency that's actually trying to collect is about an hour away. I would have thought that if the guy purchased the debt and they're both so close, they would have validated it by now if they could. Tomorrow will be 2 weeks since the letter was signed for.
