Here was my original message/problem....

"Equifax investigated the listing for the Gulfstate account on my credit report and deleted it last month. Now I just checked my report again and its back on there. Are they allowed to do this or what? What can or should I do? Thanks!"

-------------------------------------------------------
I just called Equifax today and they told me that it was deleted because GulfState did not reply within the 30 days allowed, hence they deleted it. Gulfstate submitted it AGAIN to them and that is the reason it went back on there. I complained to the rep on the phone from Equifax that I never recieved notification and all that, but she said they {Gulfstate} are allowed to keep on reporting it to them. I told the lady that it is Equifax's duty to keep only accurate information on my file. She said that they are allowed to put it back in even if Equifax takes it off because Gulfstate did not reply within the 30 days. So I asked her matter of factly would I be correct in saying that I can dispute this over and over again, and if Gulfstate doesnt reply they will take it off for a few days until Gulfstate sends their monthly {or whatever} submissions to Equifax and then it would be reported again. She said "technically YES!" This just doesnt sound right to me. I thought once something is deleted, especially when they dont reply within the 30 days, they cannot put it back on there. Another words, I am starting a vicious cycle. What can I do? Thanks.

ps: I hope i explained this correctly ! :)
