Aside from clearing your credit records,you need to make sure they even checked your records at all. In some cases, if you are over 45 years old, employers are using a fraudulent claim of "a bad credit report" to deny employment. Call all 3 credit reporting companies, request a free credit report (which you are entitled to) on the basis of your turn down, give them the employers name. They are required to inform you if an inquiry was made.
