The SOL for judgements (enforcing an existing one) is 10 years in S.C.,at that time it has to be renewed by the originator, or it can no longer be enforced.It dropped off your credit reports in 1999.I suggest -just to be safe, you wait until May, call the courthouse and make sure it wasn't renewed before you alert any bottom feeder collection company that may lurkng around.
