I assume, from your post, that you are living in.paying taxes on, and have filed homestead on a home in a 55+ community and you are under 55?.Or do you mean that you haven't changed the homestead from the dead owner and the assoc. doesn't know you are living there ? In any case you need to see a real estate attorney. A life estate says "I leave my home to XX to live in for life,after which it is the property of ZZ"
