I wrote a check to my step son for 1000.00. the check was for a down payment for a auto that he and his mom made arrangements. I dated the check November 3, 2001 and placed a note in the Fedex Package reminding him not to place it in the bank until the 16th of November, this was also followed up by a phone call to verify. Everything was agreed upon. My step son placed it in the bank the very next day and wrote 800.oo dollars worth of checks which he claims bounced.
After fussing and argueing with his mom he admitted placing the check in the bank early. His mother had a Stroke shortly thereafter which has been a finicial burden. I paid Andy with 600.00 cash and a 120.00 money order for which I have proof, I owe 280.00 which will be paid January 31, 2002. On January 23, 2002 he sent a certified letter to his mom and I and states he has filed charges against me for a worthless check, I will be arrested, he will reposess the vehicle from his mom and garnish my wages.
