If the collection agency calls you or writes you send them a validation letter disputing the debt,requesting proof of their right to collect, and stating you are affirming your rights under the FDCPA not to be contacted. The SOL of 4 years is a DEFENSE that must be brought up IF you are served papers to appear for a judgement hearing.(if you were out of State,or otherwise unavailable during that time,the SOL is extended)
