Be careful! Read the other comments and stories on this site for an indication of the type of problems that you may expect with Gulf State/OSI (they are one and the same).
I would suggest that you have an attorney prepare a BINDING commitment for settlement, with a clear demand for IMMEDIATE confirmation of closure, and a demand that it immediately be reported to your the credit bureaus. I don't know how much your indebtedness is, but take my word for it, this would be money well spent! Good Luck!
