Technically,the suit can be filed in either of the States at the option of the one suing you. If they chose a longer SOL(previous address) State,they would still have to serve you where you live,and it is easy to file an objection to an inconvenient jurisdiction.They VERY SELDOM do this,and only for very large amounts.(which would go to lawsuit status much faster
anyway)
