Lots of people have problems with it. If you are truly just AU status, and it is being reported as AU, but is a derogatory account, dispute with the CRA as "not reponsible for payment of this account." If you are AU, and it is being reported as a joint account, then you must take it up with the creditor, and dispute their reporting of the "type" of account. Sometimes they deliberately change it in order to get the AU to pay. That's blackmail - but you can do something about it.
