Hi, I have a clarification to the previous posting and a question at the end of this. Actually, when it comes to how long a delinquent account can be reported, is based on the date of first delinquency, NOT the date of chargeoff to profit and loss OR assignment to a collection agency. "Section 623 [of the FCRA (Fair Credit Reporting Act]) defines the delinquency date for an account as the month and year that an account first became delinquent. This date is important because it is used by credit bureaus to measure the seven-year period that negative credit information may be reported under the FCRA." There is the +180 day issue also. Depending on the creditor or collection agency, they may or may not use it when reporting.

Now, for my question; does anyone know where I can find the exact text of the California Civil Code relating to the SOL for medical bills?
