Debt was discharged in husband bk but collections after me?

My now husband was on a lease with me in 1996, he filed bankruptcy on the moveout charges in 1997 the bankruptcy has been discharged and today I got a letter stating that I owe the money can they collect if it was claimed under a bankruptcy?
