Lates on Experian report prior to "reported since" date

My recent (January 24, 2002) Experian report lists lates on my Citgo Credit card for August 2001, July 2001 and May 2001. The report indicates that Citgo first started reporting to Experian 10/2000. However, this is incorrect. I have confirmed with several representatives from Citgo that they first started reporting to credit bureaus on 10/2001 not 10/2000 as listed on my report!!! I can also verify this by my Experian report dated 3/13/01 which does not list Citgo, a Trans Union report dated 3/7/01 which does not list Citgo and two reports pulled by a mortgage broker (2/9/01 and 10/2/01) neither of which list Citgo. My questions are:
1. If Citgo did not start reporting until 10/2001 (not 10/2000 as listed on my current report) how would I go about getting this changed so that the correct "reported since" date is on My Experian report
2. If they did not start reporting until 10/2001 can they list late payments made before that date on my credit report??????
