- SOL for FILING a law suit is figured from date of ORIGINAL DEFAULT,(30 days past last payment on original default)
This SOL is 4 years in Florida
- SOL for CRA's to REMOVE the item from your report is figured from your LAST PAYMENT on the account (usually noted as "activity date") 7 years + 180 days.
- If you made payments to the original creditor,or to a collection agency after your original default, that will affect the SOL for your CREDIT REPORT ONLY.
- The SOL for being sued is a DEFENSE that must be USED if you are sued as there are situations that can legally extend the SOL.(someone who was unavailable due to being out of State, hospitalized, or in jail)
