Cross co credit cards placed an old collection with Gulfstate and it now appears on my credit report as 2 separate collections! In the first place, I have been diputing this for since about 1997. CC sent me a credit card I decided i did not want. I sent the payoff but did not send the next years membership fee. CC proceeded to send me stsatements and placing "larte fees" on the membership fee for a membership I did not want! Debt total is $114.00. it took 2-3 notices of "late fees" before i could get CC to listen and close acct. they still want their money. I don't think its fair. They placed it w/ collections and it now comes up twice on credit reports as Gulfstate and Cross Country!!
