Repairing spouses credit

My husband had horrible credit and we waited everything out and it has been 7 years so we had anything old and neg deleted off his report... So no comes the process of rebuilding his credit... Would it help yo make him an authorized user of my accounts, since i have good credit... will this do anything for his?
