An authorized user does not get any "credit" for credit use. If you are SURE that all bad stuff is off his credit report, have him sign up for a store account in his own name,with YOU as JOINT,not "authorized user" make sure they are big enough to report to CRA's- a chain store.Make sure he buys modestly,and pays promptly.After 6 months go for a gas credit card.by this time, he should be getting low apr no fee credit card offers.
