First off, you are probably shooting yourselves in the foot if you pay these people. Well, not just in the foot - it could be financial suicide. DEPENDING ON THE STATE WHERE YOU LIVE. So, if you want accurate advice, you will have to tell us what state you are in now and what state you were in when you got this account.

Here is your proof that they are a collection agency: If you use Google search engine and search for "Kendall & Sullivan collection agency" this is the first return on the list.

If you use the search term "Kendall & Sullivan attorney" you get nothing about this company in the returns. See? So you can treat them like a collection agency. Not only that, but an attorney who is engaged in collecting delinquent debts IS a collection agency for legal purposes. You can find this fact in the section of the website titled "Credit Laws" under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act."

ANYTHING THESE PEOPLE TELL YOU OVER THE PHONE IS A LIE. DO NOT BELIEVE THEM.

Now, you can do whatever you want to, but there is some pretty good expertise on this board, and we are posting here to help people, not just to amuse ourselves because we don't have anything else to do.

IF the statute of limitations is up in your state, they can sue you, but they CANNOT WIN if you go to court and tell the judge that the statute of limitations has "run."
