Robert, don't apologize for the prepaid legal thing. I am a member also, and I agree with you. :)

(I am not recruiting or advertising)

I pay my $26 bucks a month, I have a lawyer at my disposal. I have a telephone appointment tomorrow morning with an attorney who specializes in insurance, because my dentist is trying to stick me with a bill that they failed to file with my insurance company. Like you, I feel it is the best $312.00 investment I could make in a year. I could never afford a lawyer for all the little things that crop up. I warned the dentist's bookkeeper that she was messing with the wrong person (I am also an insurance agent) but she isn't listening.

I have had a couple of situations where actual legal work needed to be done (court docs filed, etc, not just advice, and my legal plan referred me to an expert in the appropriate legal specialty, where I paid a discounted hourly fee and the lawyer was held accountable by the prepaid legal firm. In one case, the lawyer put my stuff on the bottom of his stack of work, and after waiting too long for him to return my call, I called PPL to complain. From then on, my work was on the top of his stack of work. :) Legal plans have a lot of clout.

It feels so good to know people can't walk all over me like they used to.

Linda
