Can you give deatils of what is going on with these accounts now. What are the collections? How muc money? Have the credit cards been turned over for collections or does the original creditor have them still? Do you have any money to work with to negotiate? Can you afford a lawyer?

How important is this? Is it crucial to your job or buying a home, or just something you want to do? - I guess motivation is the question. How motivated are you? Will it hurt you if the collectors are after you? Once you start working on this they will be coming out of the woodwork.

You can fight, you can negotiate, or you can lay low and wait. they have you figured for a deadbeat so laying low will be easy. The others take motivation and/or money.
