How Experian works

History:
I have a six year old charge off from a credit card company on my report. When I wrote to the credit agencies TransUnion cleared this item from my report because no documentation from the reporting entity could be verified. The collection agency that purchased my debt did not report on TranUnion and that debt was verified.

Experian:
This may be old news for some, I just called Experian becasue they verified the balance and credit claim from the collection agency. What I found was the reporting 'client'(collection agency) did not provide any documentation. Experian told me that they require their 'clients' to under go extensive procdural review before being accepted as a 'client.' This allows Experian to 'trust the clients' reported information.

My experiance is that they can not be trusted.

I have demanded that all negitive items be removed from my report becasue no documentation/proof of the claim has been provided.

I don't know how my credit report will be settled, but knowldege is your best weapon when dealing with lawyers and credit/collection companies.

I wish you all good luck in the resolution of your problems.
