They told me today that they tried serving me with papers at an old address (I guess he was trying to scare me). I told the guy to not contact me anymore. He said "Can't do that". I didn't tell him I am aware of the laws regarding SOL.

If they were unable to contact me, creditor or collection agency, since the delinquency, does that create any problems as far as SOL, etc.?

In 1992, I offered to pay the creditor all principal and no interest and was refused. A few months later a collection agency contacted me regarding payment and I offered to pay 70% and was rejected again. And in late 1999 the charge off was deleted from my credit report. I thought there is no legal recourse for the collection agency now.
