You should probably try to get in touch with the original creditors to explain your hardship circumstances. Some make work with you during this time - others may take an "We don't care position". Talk with someone who has authority - not a customer service rep. And make sure if you come to an agreement with your creditors you get the agreement in writing. Some creditors may extend the length of a loan, for example. If this is a work related accident you should be eligible for workers comp.
