I think you are confusing yourself. :) The disputes with CRA's are a separate thing from the letters to the AG's. If the CRA's refuse to delete the entry, you can send another letter asking them to tell you what prodecure they used to verify the account information.

re the letters to AG's. There is no pre-written letter template because every situation is different. You don't have to cover your a$$ with them (although you do need to have all your dicks in a row so they can make sense out of what is happening). They will respond and tell you they are investigating. They will keep you up to date.
They will most likely be the ones who get the entry deleted from your reports. It does not take long. No one ignores them.
