Doesn't matter if you want to do the "right" thing and pay off your debts - you are still labeled as someone who doesn't pay your debts - even if you've had hardships. Not fair at all!!! It's no wonder folks go bankrupt and wait out the SOL's, etc. Linda's letters are not harsh considering that's the only remedy to deal with these collectors. Unfortunately, these mindless bottom feeders do not have the capacity to understand that unemployment, especially since 911, has become an ever-increasing problem - and usually those folks are uneducated jive-talkin idiots who are not even aware of federal collection regulations.
