As Linda already posted, the SOL is a DEFENSE to a law suit. They can file suit against you at any time. You have to DEFEND each and every time. Yes, it is "illegal" for them to re-age an account,BUT they do it all the time, some do it automatically any time a debtor sends ANY correspondence to them. You would have to send dispute letters, verification letters etc. etc.to get it corrected. The best way to get your credit cleared is to get more good stuff on your reports, let the bad stuff fall off,and don't try the so called "short cuts" to better credit. They only work if you are basing your disputes or validations on solid ground, like past time for CRA reports.
