If the collection agency never contacted you,then a dispute letter to the CA stating this is not your account and requestng immediate removal from any CRA,type-do not sign letter. Send copy to CRA with a request for immediate verification or removal.Mae sure you say that this CA has never contacted you and you consider this a fraudulent entry.(which it is)These bottom feeder CA's are digging up old accounts and using this illegal posting to CRA tactic to shake $$ loose from people. DO NOT PAY THEM! It will be a validation of the debt and stay on your CRA's for another 7 years.
