Chapter 7 with regards to NPO

A NPO I was/am a part of is fileing for Chapter 7, their accounts indicate they have more cash than debt, and I wish to know what happens in Chapter 7 when there is left over funds? In the case of an NPO with many thousand members does the money return to the members who had paid dues and failed to recieve the services promised for those dues? Francis
