$1,100 + seems steep to me,but in your area everything is high!
If you go down to your local courthouse and ask the BK clerk for a listing of recent filings,(public record) you can write down the names of those lawyers who appear most often.It may be that your high-priced lawyer is accustomed to business bankruptcies and her time is of more value.(like getting a brain surgeon to treat you for a mild concussion) As to the "do it yourself" idea. I have seen many of them rescinded because of omissions or errors up to a year after "final discharge".
