credit report clean-up

I desparately need to higher my credit score by at least 100 points in the next year and a half so that I can get married. I have been wanting to propose to my girlfriend of two and a half years, but she is in the line of work that a clean credit report is vital. We can't get married until mine is much better so as not to jeapordize her career. Once we are married, unfortunately she gets my credit. Does anyone know the best way of doing this or any company that actually has been successful in erasing negative credit??? I have been working on gaining good credit by making my current account payments on time, however I have a handful of charged-off accounts from before I met my now girlfriend. She does not know about my previous debts. I haven't had the heart to tell her since it happened before she came into my life. I desparately want to clean my the mess without her being the wiser. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
