No, if it is the actual card company calling, there isn't much you can do. They really aren't bound by the FDCPA, however, sometimes they don't know that. So you can try sending them a letter saying that they may only contact you via the mail, but if they ignore it, there isn't anything you can do about it, except let the answering machine get it.

If you don't mind my asking, why aren't you paying? You can still salvage your credit if the this is onyl a couple of months behind. If you have lost you job or become ill, some card comapnies will work with you, but you have to talk to them.

If you haven't had something devastating happen to your finances, and you just got in over your head, look for a way out other than just defaulting.

Maybe it sounds like everyone is just not paying and getting away with it. No so - it is "credit hell" and you don't want to go there if you can avoid it.
