MBNA may be intimidating you so that you do not file suit against them my dear :)

They are liable for the damage to your credit. Don't get me wrong, MBNA is a class act, to my knowledge, but somehow they slipped up on this. They don't want to get sued for damages, which you probably have.

Have you been turned down for credit? - a mortgage, car loan, credit card? Have your current card companies changed your terms because of this? If so, then you have damages. Good lawyers will take your case.

As far as your existing card companies, I am curious - how did someone manage to use the cards at online casinos? Visa, MC and AmEx will not authorize charges from an online casino.
