Cease and Desist Letters

I sent 5 letters out to the creditors (not in collections yet)asking them to please cease calling me at work. I am hoping this will deter them from harassing me on the phone here. My boss is not happy. They call all day long. I am planning to file chapter 7 at the end of the month. I have no valuable assets and own a car that is worthless. I do have a 401K and pension plan but am told in the state of Florida (where I live) that those plans are exempt. Should I hire an attorney or do this filing myself? I am on a strict budget and really cannot afford to hire an atty, but will try to borrow the money if I have to.
