Creditors have the option of filing suit in the State where the debt was incurred,or in the State of current residence. So if your present State's SOL is longer than Texas, you may still be vulnerable to a lawsuit. If the only way your creditors would know where you are,is if you requested a CRA from your current address, then besides the normal SOL limits you may be subject to "tolling" That is the period of time you were unavailable for legal service which is added on to any SOL.
