There are 2 SOL's one is the time period you can be sued,(each State has it's own SOL-ranges from 3-6 years) This one always starts from the first date of arrears,even if you caught up later, and then defaulted. The 2nd is the 7 year time period adverse information can stay on your credit report. This one depends on when you first were reported as being late,and sometimes can be as recent as your last payment.
