I wasn't trying to hide from them. I moved to a different state and got that state's license. I am not sure I gave a forwarding address then. Everytime I move, I go the post office and get forwarding cards.

From there I moved to another state, got that state's driver's license. Then I moved from there two more times. None of this to avoid them, but for job needs. Experian lists all of my 9 addresses in the last 14 years. Trans Union and Equifax list only two each in addition to my current address.

I have been at my current address for 4.5 years. If any creditor wanted to find me all they have to do is look at my credit report. So, I am assuming I can use SOL expiration defense if I am sued about this "debt" from 9-10 years back.
