Idaho has a 4 year statute of limitations (SOL) for credit card debts. Assuming you were in Idaho when you first defaulted (1st time late on payment),and assuming it is a credit card debt,if they file suit against you BEFORE May 2002,they have a case.If they file AFTER May,2002 you can DEFEND by showing they are past the SOL. I recommend you send them a "validation" letter. Do not admit anything,print-do not sign your name. Send RRR.They are required by law to send you documentation of their ownership of the account, including copies of your SIGNED application.
