Yeah - this is what needs to happen. Every credit card offer I get gets shredded - I don't reply to a single one with their teaser rates (especially Cap One, etc.). The cc's still complain their demise is because of "no pays". I don't think so but rather, like you say, high interest fees plus the refusal of these companies to work with people when they fall on hard times through no choice of their own. And some of the bigger banks were contributors to the Republican campaign and lobbied for regulations to do away with BK.
