Just sit tight. You have not reaffirmed the debt. Actually the SOL date may be sooner - it should be the date you defaulted on the loan, which is probably 180 days before the date they charged it off - that would be March.

Forget whether or not you paid it - if you can't prove it, it doesn't matter anymore anyway. Keep you current credit report for proof later. Then On April 1 or so, dispute this debt with the credit bureaus that are reporting it this way (two dates, or the 2001 date) the basis for the dispute is "This account has been re-aged in violation of the Fair Credit Reporting Act." That sould get it off. If it doesn't you will have to play hard ball. In Sept of next year, the entire thing should come off your credit report without any effort at all.

If you have any previous addresses showing on your reports, dispute them now - CRA's remove those easily, and it makes verifying more difficult, since accounts are often linked only to your name and an address.
