The CA claims I am miscommunicating with them by not returning their phone calls. Contact was first established 2 weeks ago. I told him, I or my attorney will get back to him. He keeps harassing my inlaws daily. He doesn't stop even when they told him that I don't live there and not contact them again. Today he called them 2 times. I really hit the roof. I sent him a fax reminding him that he violating the FDCPA and demanding the he stop contacting them at once. It seems he told them that he works for the U.S govt! He has my contact information. When I called him after the fax to remind him my rights under FDCPA, he claims I am miscommunicating by not returning his phone calls. He says my attorney didn't contact him like I told him and that is a violation. Excuse me? And then he says he is recording this call. He kept saying in our conversations, "Are you going to pay the debt or not?" I ignored that question and I kept telling him, I will send him a response in mail, which I will do right away with a C&D. Did I do anything wrong here? I didn't know there is a law that states that I have to return his every call. I finally got his address today. I will send a C&D. It is unbelievable what these people do.
