Thanks for the input Linda, but there is something else I fogot to mention in my original post. When I contacted the bank to find out what this was all about, I had provided them with my current address, phone number, and business phone (what a dummy). She said she would need to pull her records to see what this was all about, so I gave her permission to call me at work. After I gave her this permission, she suddenly had the records in front of her. I told the collections officer that I really believed this was paid off and that I was going to check through my records. She said that she expects to hear back from me by the end of the week.
